Sliema & St. Julians

Sliema & St. Julians

Sliema and St Julians go hand in hand and are without any doubt Malta’s the most popular and tourist resorts. Largely a by product of the British period, Sliema in particular, is the most affluent residential area on the Island.

Life in Sliema hinges around the Sliema Front, a promenade overlooking the sea, all the way from one end of the town, Qui-si-Sana to St Julians. The Front is were all the socialising goes on, especially in the summer months. Plenty of out door cafes, restaurants, shopping complexes, rocky beaches, you name any lazy tourist attraction Sliema has it. What’s more if you want a fantastic view of Valletta you get just that from the Tigne side.

St Julians is home to Malta’s leading 5 star hotels, The Westin Dragonara Resort and the Hilton Hotel, to mention just two. It is also home to Malta’s top casino the Dragonara Casino at the far end of the Dragonara Peninsula.

Paceville is the island’s hottest nightspot, ever popular with the young and not so young.

In a nut shell, visitors to Malta are bound to spend time in this popular resort, and so they should.
