WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO TRAVEL

Yes you can. However, we recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Especially during the high season.

 

Call our Reservations Department with your Reservation Number. Provided space is available this will be done without any problem. Conditions apply.

Every individual has a Reservation Number on the ticket.

 

If you book online you can pay by Credit Card. If you book via telephone, you can pay by Credit Card or bank transfer and tickets will be sent to you via e-mail. If you prefer collecting your ticket directly from our Sales Offices, you can pay by cash or Credit Card.

 

We ask for a mobile number in order to be able to contact you in case of cancellations or delays. 

 

The exclusive Club Lounge is on the Bridge Deck, it too opens onto an Outside Seating Area. Enjoy a complementary orange juice and a newspaper and literally put your feet up, on the reclining chair’s footrest of course, and enjoy a panoramic view of the sea. There is a designated check-in desk for Club as well as priority disembarkation. If you are travelling by car you will be directed to a priority embarkation lane.

 

Only ID cards and passports are considered as valid travel documents. Residence cards and driving licenses are not valid for travel purposes.

Accompanied minors under 18 years of age in possession of Maltese ID cards are required to have a designated authorization form signed by both parents and countersigned by police unless otherwise traveling with both parents or in possession of a valid passport.

Accompanied minors under 14 years of age in possession of Italian ID cards and/or Italian Passports are required to have a designated authorization form signed by both parents and countersigned by the ‘Questura’ unless otherwise traveling with both parents or the name of the accompanying parent is listed on the minor’s document.

Yes, you can book a Commercial Vehicle online.

 

Whether you make your reservation on line or via telephone, bicycles must be booked when making your reservation. Bicycles are free of charge.

 

Yes, luggage is stored on the baggage trolley or in a reserved area on the high speed ferry, as directed by the ship’s crew. You may carry to your seat one piece of small hand luggage.

Passengers who require assistance during their journey, should contact a member of the cabin crew. Passengers may also wish to notify the Company at the time of booking if they feel we can be of assistance.

 

The carriage of illegal and dangerous items and substances are prohibited. If you have any doubts, you are advised to consult our booking office at the time you make your reservation or ask when you are checking in.

 

Only sports guns are permissible on board. You require police permission to be able to do so. Please also inform our booking office at the time you make your reservation. Sports guns are allowed on board at the sole discretion of the Master and are stored for safe keeping, under lock and key, for the duration of the voyage.

 

The Company reserves the right to change departure and arrival timings, delay, cancel, or reroute the sailing of the vessel without prior notice whether on the outbound or inbound journey, if this is required for safety or technical reasons or due to force majeure. No, there are no left luggage facilities at the port.

 

Only passengers with a valid ticket are allowed beyond the Control Areas. Before boarding, you are required to present an official identification document together with your ticket for verification. The high speed ferry’s safety procedures are regulated by The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code of The International Maritime Organisation (IMO), a regulatory agency of the United Nations.

 

Passengers are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that they are fit to travel; your attention is drawn to the possibility of weather conditions changing during a voyage. Passengers with a medical condition, for which they have not sought professional advice, are asked to inform a member of the Company’s staff prior to departure. The Master of the vessel may, at his discretion and in the interest of the passenger, disallow boarding.

 

Children under 12 years of age cannot travel unaccompanied. Parents/guardians are kindly asked to complete the unaccompanied minors travelling form for unaccompanied minors aged 12 to under 18 years of age. The form must be presented at the check-in desk prior departure. Form can be downloaded here

 

Check-in time for passengers with vehicles is 1 ½ hours prior to departure time. Foot Passengers should check-in at least 1 hour before departure time. Please be at the terminal at least 1 hour before the scheduled sailing time, and even earlier during busy periods.

 

Malta - Pozzallo is 50 nautical miles (92.6Km). Malta - Catania is 100 nautical miles (185.2Km)

By car:

Pozzallo – Syracuse 62Km;

Pozzallo - Catania is 112Km;

Pozzallo - Palermo 160Km;

Catania - Palermo is 193Km.

 

For reasons of safety and in line with international regulations, passengers are not allowed in the garage during the crossing.

 

You can use our website to purchase tickets for up to 20 passengers in both Euro & Club Class. If you need to purchase tickets for larger groups, please contact our offices during office hours.
