Virtu Ferries has announced the acquisition of a strategically located 24,000 square meter site overlooking the Port of Pozzallo from the Regione Siciliana, marking a major investment in regional logistics infrastructure.
With a total investment of €6 million, the new Virtu Ferries Logistics Hub is set to become a critical gateway for trade between Sicily and Malta. The facility will offer a state-of-the-art base of operations for logistics companies and distributors involved in import and export between Malta and Italy.

This new hub is designed to support and enhance Virtu Ferries’ already efficient Fast Track Cargo service, further streamlining logistics and strengthening economic ties between Italy and Malta.

This project forms part of a broader series of strategic initiatives by Virtu Ferries aimed at maintaining and expanding its role as a key player in maritime transport between Italy and Malta for years to come.
Virtu Ferries is an Authorized Regular Shipping Service operating as per EU legislation and is also classified as an Essential Service. The company operates two of the largest fast ferries in the world with over 1500 voyages per year between Malta and Sicily.
